Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs
The Kiwanis Family includes members of all ages and abilities.
Kiwanis Club of Westlake supports local Service Leadership Programs: Aktion Club, Builders Club, and Key Club.
Aktion Club
Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. Club members become competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service.
Aktion Club, composed of like-minded, service-oriented people from the community, draw members from various organizations in the Westlake area that support individuals with disabilities, as well as other community programs.
Builders Club
Since 1975, Builders Club is a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program for middle years/middle school age students. Builders Club empowers youth as they navigate their in-between-stage of life.
Builders Club members learn about their interests and talents as they make friends. Their experiences help them develop a passion to serve, skills to lead and the ability to engage and collaborate with others.
Key Club
Since the beginning in 1925, Key Club International has supported the transformation of high school students as they graduate and become the world’s next class of leaders.
Key Club helps build character through service and leadership. Key Club members around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities.
