🎉 We Won the Golden Spike Again! 🚂✨
Westlake Kiwanis is thrilled to announce that we are holding onto the coveted Golden Spike trophy for another year!
We recently celebrated this exciting victory with a fantastic interclub dinner alongside the Bay Village Kiwanis members, sharing ideas, projects, and a passion for helping our community. A special thank you to Bay President Anita Bauknecht for helping organize her members to attend. It was an unforgettable evening of fellowship and community spirit!
A huge round of applause goes out to everyone who made this event such a success: 🍖 Kevin Walker for graciously catering the delicious pulled pork from City Barbeque (even while juggling his son’s State Tennis Tournament—and they won 5-0 and are still going!). Ribs prepared by Andrew Mangels.
🥗 Sylvia, Maria, Cindy, Abby, Bonnie, and Norm for the incredible side dishes and bakery.
🥤 Miria for providing the 2-liter drinks.
🧺 Sylvia for the beautiful raffle gift basket, and Norm & John for expertly managing the welcoming table.
Thanks to everyone's generosity, our 50/50 raffle brought in nearly $200!
Our President-Elect, Bonnie Smith, will proudly keep the Golden Spike safe until Bay Village Kiwanis hosts our next gathering in 2027.
☀️ Enjoy the rest of your summer, everyone! Our first official meeting back will be on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:00 PM in the Board Room (2nd floor) at the Westlake Porter Library. We’ll see you then!
